Darcie Ellyne is passionate about cooking, eating, and living a healthy well-balanced lifestyle. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management at University of Illinois, Champaign, she headed to San Francisco at a time when fresh, local, and healthy “California Cuisine” was making its mark in the culinary world.
Managing progressive corporate dining rooms inspired Darcie to further her studies in nutrition and she completed her Master of Science degree in Nutritional Science at San Jose State University, became a Registered Dietitian and studied culinary arts in Paris at École de Gastronomie Française Ritz-Escoffier. Since then, Darcie has taught nutrition, worked with chefs and provided medical nutrition therapy the last 25 years. Her expertise lies in the areas of diabetes, cardiometabolic disorders, gastrointestinal disorders, food intolerance, weight management and bariatric surgery. She loves to work with people using an integrative and functional nutrition approach to help change lives by using food as medicine. Darcie will work closely with you to discover your unique needs to optimize health and achieve your goals.
